On May 21st, from 9am to 5pm, the Brazilian Network of Studies on Hypertension in Pregnancy (RBEHG), from the Brazilian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics Associations (FEBRASGO), will hold the 1st RBEHG Conference: Preeclampsia, updates and challenges.

Fully online, the event will cover topics related to the differences between pre-eclampsia in the public and private systems, guidance for patients at risk, and an interactive session with the presentation of clinical cases.

Since 2017, May 22 has been dedicated to the importance of knowing the symptoms of preeclampsia worldwide. The complication is characterized by high blood pressure and, according to research, at world levels, affects between 5% and 8% of pregnant women, and is responsible for more than 76 thousand maternal deaths per year (9 deaths per hour) and 500 thousand fetal and neonatal deaths.
